When life gets difficult, our faith doesn’t have to be difficult. We can cling to simple promises that comprise the fundamentals of our faith. The verse I chose today reminds us that in everything, we give thanks, we rejoice, and we never cease in our prayers. Even when all we can pray is “please help,” we pray.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
