I chose a verse on rest for today because we have been so busy these past few weeks and we are all feeling weary. We have had long days filled with endless activities, often things that overlap, and it has been something nearly every day. We have had late nights, which is so tough for all the little ones, especially when it is several nights in a row. It has been good things, fun things, and good for the kids things, but we are all ready for rest.

Today’s verse is

Matthew 11:28

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Such a great verse even for kids. They are never to young to learn to run to the arms of Jesus when they are feeling tired, overwhelmed, or scared.
