I have been posting five things that I have loved each week for a while, and it is something that I love doing. It forces me to slow down and take notice of things along the way each week, and I always find that I have trouble narrowing it down to just five things.

If you have never tried this before, I highly recommend it. We can so easily remember all the things that went wrong in any given week, but it is remembering what went right that is such a blessing.

Generally when I am doing some easy cardio I am working in some way at the same time. This week, I didn’t do anything but watch my favorite show. It’s the only time I see it since we don’t have cable. It was just what I needed.

Cannot believe that this girl is going to be six months tomorrow, but she is. Although this saddens me, she really is getting to be so much fun. She loves her toys!

Homeschooling. Some weeks are just hard while other weeks are filled with so much homeschool awesomeness I can hardly stand it. We had the awesome kind of week this week. This is my 6 year old’s math. All I did was create the pattern under the pen and told him to pretend that the pen was a mirror and create what he’d see on the other side of the pen. After about two seconds, he whipped this out. It is amazing how kids’ brains work at times.

This curriculum has been such a blessing to our homeschool. We have always been very intentional in being open with our kids about sex, but it is so nice to have a program that is so deeply embedded in the Bible since we are Christians. It has taken the uncomfortableness out of this subject entirely. I am only reading what’s written, and this makes it so much easier to get through.

I have said it before but I will say it again. I love that my kids have so many siblings. It’s not always without drama, but my kids truly love one another and are all best friends. As someone who grew up without any siblings until I was nearly 10, it is the greatest blessing in my life that my kids have siblings to love.
