I have had many things to love, really love this week. Here are the five most notable ones.

My husband had his final for this past 8 week section of nursing school, and this section has been brutal. Maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad if all he had to do was school, but he also works and obviously has a family – a rather large one at that!

The program he is in is accelerated, and to say it’s demanding just might be the understatement of the year. He walked into this final needing a 100% to pass this section. If not, he would be out of the program.

We had hope, but seriously, 100%?

This text was his way of telling me he did it. It came through while I as at the gym. Thank goodness all my regular gym buddies were there because I literally fell onto the ground into a heaping sob of tears. I am so thankful someone was there to just hug me. The stress and the emotions of the past three years of this back to school journey just all came flooding to the surface at that moment. This will forever be one of the best moments of my life.

This man

Can you believe we celebrated 20 years of marriage this week?! We were kids when we got married, and I know that if anyone would have told us where we’d be at 20 years of marriage, we would have laughed our fool heads off. When we got married, my husband had just finished the police academy, and I was working on my psychology/social work degree. When people asked if we wanted kids, I said I didn’t think we’d have any. LOL. Just LOL on that big time!

This book

I am so honored and blessed to be on Crystal’s launch team for her next book. This means that although it’s not available for purchase until November 1st, I’ve got a copy. This is an amazing book. I always knew I could conquer the world, now I really know it 😉 Seriously, this is one of the most inspirational books I’ve read – and it’s also full of such wisdom.

This was the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes this morning. If you’re wondering, that would mean that I didn’t get up until about 7 this morning rather than my usual 5 a.m. rising time. I never really knew how much the stress of the past couple of weeks had been weighing on me, but I have been sleeping for close to 8 hours every night since my husband passed his test on Thursday. I’m just giving myself grace right now, I know I earned every last minute of sleep these past few days.

This was the most amazing sunrises I’ve ever seen, and had I not slept in, I would have missed it.

This sun

As someone who needs the sun almost as much as I need air, this sky and this sun in October in Michigan on a 70 degree day is like manna from heaven. This is the weather today, and they say it is the last of its kind this year. I’m sure they’re right – we’ve had snow flurries this time of year many years, so this is something I savored today. I think getting a migraine today just might have been the biggest blessing since it forced me to slow down and take notice!

What have you loved this week? I’d love to hear in the comments!
