As someone who is always looking for products that give me the best bang for my buck, I am not afraid to try new things that seem to fit this bill. While I need to keep my budget in the forefront of everything I do, there are also some things that I am a bit particular about. Toothpaste, body wash, and toilet paper are included in this.

I’ve had the opportunity to try a new toilet paper line, and I have to say that as someone who is particular about this, I was pleasantly surprised.

With a houseful of kids, I find I have to be quite picky about what I toilet paper I use. I can’t have toilet paper that rolls off the roll too easily (I hope this makes sense) since in the first year of owning our home we paid a plumber to come here and take care of a clog in the pipes beyond our house – twice! Too much toilet paper was the culprit, and he encouraged us to make sure that our kids weren’t using more toilet paper than they needed since kids commonly just yank the roll and it keeps right on rolling!

For this reason, I can’t have a toilet paper that is too soft, which makes it stick together more and get more off the roll, but it also has to be soft enough that my picky kids are willing to use it. This is especially true when working with potty training kids. In the picture above, notice how there’s no toilet paper trailing all over, which is what happens if it spins off too easily.

Then of course there is the budget issue to keep in mind, and with the amount of people I have using something like toilet paper, I do have to keep this in the forefront. Quite honestly, it’s just not something that I want to spend a ton of money on!

Well, I discovered that the best of both worlds is possible, and since my kids also approve, it’s really a good thing.
