If you are a reader here, you know that Sunday means it’s time for me to reflect back on the week I’ve had, sharing with you the things that have impacted me most.

I have gotten back into the routine of office hours, which means that I’ve had more time to plug into my life away from working. It’s so amazing how easily life can pass us by if we don’t reach out and grab it! finding things to savor during the week is a great way to do that.

I like to think about it as taking prolonged snapshots in my mind, because that is exactly what I do when I discover something that I know I will want to reflect on.

5 things I love this week

Here are the Five Things I Love This Week:

This sunrise. I start my day every day at 5:30 and I sit right next to a window that faces East. I watched this sunrise emerge, and it was so amazing that I got up, went outside, and took a picture. This picture doesn’t even do it justice, but I love that my window faces East.

My health. I had a great week with my fitness goals, and I am so thankful for the ability to do this. I have so many people who are very sick right now whether they are battling cancer, dealing with a lifelong illness of some kind, or simply unable to do the things they want to do because they are physically limited in some way. I am so thankful to have my health.

My growing son. My son likes to play football, which is fine, but scary when your son is a little guy. Thankfully, between this year and last, he has grown six inches and packed on some pounds. It’s so much less scary when your son isn’t the little guy on the football field.

Sick kids. This may seem kind of crazy, and on the one hand it is, but with our three little boys being sick, we have been forced to slow down. There have also been lots of extra snuggles, which is always a good thing  – even if they are snotty ones!

Great Friends. I don’t have a picture for this one, but as I needed to call on a couple of friends, they were there for me in an instant. Nothing can replace that.

This is the way my week went and what I’ve loved. What have you loved?
