Mondays set the tone for the entire week. Monday is the anchor point that greatly affects whether the week ahead goes smoothly or if a poorly run Monday gives way to a stressful week. Focusing on something positive is a great way to ensure that you have done what you can to have a great week.

For this reason, on Monday’s I choose a verse to memorize with my kids that will set the tone I would wish to blanket our week. I choose a trait, a virtue, or a promise that I would love to be woven throughout daily life.

With this in mind, I chose kindness today. Common courtesy, kindness, and understanding tend to wear thin as the school year comes to an end. Life is beyond busy, and everyone is just ready for a change of pace. Even though we still have school two days a week, everything is much more relaxed even on those two days.
