We use this rice as the basis for so many things, and it is also great when eaten alone. The possibilities really are endless. We use it in wraps, as the foundation for any kind of taco or burrito type bowl, and it is also really great inside any enchilada or as a side dish to anything Mexican. It’s rice with just the right amount of tang and spice. I think that’s what we love about it.
Using ingredients you most likely have on hand, this can be ready in just a few minutes beyond what it takes to make the rice.

For this recipe you will need:
- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups water
- dash of salt
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 2 Tablespoons lime juice
- 1/3 cup taco sauce
- 1/3 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/3 teaspoon garlic salt
- 3 Tablespoons fresh, chopped cilantro
Prepare rice with water according to package directions. When still warm, add the remaining ingredients. Mix well and serve however you would like it as mentioned above. Or, come up with your own fun twist!
