Phew! I think I’ve finally got Internet this morning. Not sure what the issue has been, but hopefully I am beyond it now.

I don’t know about you, but summer is so full of fun and more laid back routines that we are not able to get to our reading time at night before bed. Generally, we read a Bible chapter and a chapter or two in something else inspirational. We often read books about heroes such as Jim Elliot and Billy Graham and that sort of thing.

I miss that time terribly and every morning say that we will get back into the routine that night, but, then something else comes up…someone is gone, someone is grumpy, or we are all just busy outside.

This verse reminds me of how I need to be sure that I am pointing my kids toward Jesus. It reminds me of how He wants to have little children come to Him, and who better to lead them there but me?

Today’s verse is

Matthew 19:14

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Today, join me in making sure that nothing is hindering your children coming to Jesus. Spend some time memorizing this verse together as a family.
