In early 2015, I was so sick and tired of being sick and tired. I was burnt out, exhausted, and really just wanted a vacation.
I am stuck in Michigan, and I hate winter.
We have a large family, and we had always had a tight budget. We have always been able to make ends meet, but there had been rarely been any money left over for a vacation. We went on a very modest vacation once every three years at best.
I literally sat on my couch and cried that January morning in 2015. I was tired and so envious of all my friends who were posting pictures of all their sunny vacations, so I vowed right then and there that my life was going to change. Whatever it took, I would do it.
Honestly, I wanted the ability to take a vacation once a year. That was it.
