Your life can be beautiful, too, or maybe something else. Maybe you need to be reminded that life can be sweet, life can be tough, life can be grand, or that life is an adventure.
If there’s one thing I learned in more than 40 years it’s that life is truly what you make of it. I think this has really hit home for me the past few years.
So much of life you really can’t do anything about…at least this is the story of my life, but somehow we all have to learn to make the best of things.
The other day I wrote about my Life is Beautiful shirt, but really what is at the heart of why I choose a shirt with this message is to remind myself that life is beautiful if we choose to see it that way. But, we do have to choose to see it that way. Without making that choice life just won’t be beautiful since it is so much easier to see all the bad, especially if you spend even 10 minutes watching the news these days.
Whether I’m posting encouraging things on sticky notes in my planner or on the walls in my office, reading something inspirational in a book, or writing my journal, these are all things that help me realize that life is beautiful.
More recently, I have found that nothing is more effective in driving a message home to my heart than wearing the message whether as a necklace, a bracelet, or a shirt. This way, I can see it all day no matter where I am.
