homemade pizzaSo Birthday Boy wanted homemade pizza for dinner even though we just had pizza last night. One never can have too much pizza, I suppose.

I have been making homemade pizza for as long as I can remember. I have made numerous types of pizza dough through the years, but once I found this one it became the only pizza dough I make anymore. Did I mention that you can make it ahead of time and freeze it? Can’t get much easier.IMG_3447_2

The thing I like about this dough is that it requires no time to rise and turns out great. In that way, it is almost as easy as just throwing in a frozen pizza.

You can get the recipe here.

One thing I will say is that I use the dough hook on my mixer and let that do the kneading for me. I have played around with various kneading times and have settled on five minutes. Kneading for five minutes in my KitchenAid mixer turns out just perfect.

In addition, the people in my family prefer a thin crust pizza, so this recipe as is yields me two crusts. This is another thing I love about this recipe since I need two pizzas in order to feed my family.

Finally, this recipe calls for 500 degrees. I find 475 degrees to be better. Sometimes it burns too quickly at 500 degrees.
