What a great trip to Walgreens today! Actually, CVS, too. I haven’t written about my trips to these places in awhile because there just hasn’t been anything worth sharing, but today was a GREAT day!

I am not a coupon matching site, in fact, I get my deals from Money Saving Mom or Hip2Save, so you will need to head there to find the specific deals, but I wanted to make sure I shared my great day with you.

There were a couple of things that I found on my own just by walking the aisles. I talked about this in Stress Free Gift Shopping, Frugal Drugstore Treasures, and How You Can Score Big at the Drugstores. If you are new to drugstore shopping, you may also find Coupon Etiquette helpful before heading out for your treasures.

Today at Walgreens I spent $16.66 after factoring in a Register Reward and came home with

trip to Walgreens

1 Little Tykes soccer ball

10 flameless votive candles

1 sports bottle

4 packs of construction paper

4 packs of bobby pins

1 Colgate toothpaste

13 composition books

4 packs of Nice hard candies

I found the soccer ball, sports and candles by walking the clearance sections, and I also found these little flip flops on the cheap.

Everything else was just using the deals from both of the sites I listed. However, the moral of the story is that you never know what you will find in the clearance sections when you make the time to walk them.

At CVS I spent $16.84 and came home with

24 rolls of paper towel

6 glue sticks

1 propel fitness water

2 gatorade (I had an old rain check to use)

6 bars of Dial soap

8 Almay eyeshadows (these ended up being free for me!)

These were all deals that I went there for. At my CVS, there wasn’t anything on clearance. CVS rarely has the sales like Walgreens does, at least by me.

All in all it was a great day at the drugstores for me. What did you find? Please share in the comments!
