Chili cheese dog soup is a winner here for various reasons. I like it because it is hearty and frugal to make, and although it’s not really the healthiest of soups, the kids LOVE it. What’s not to love, actually?!
We eat soup at least twice a week except for during the hottest months of the summer, because they are an inexpensive way to feed a crowd, which is what I have to feed. Pair any soup with some french bread or breadsticks, and you’ve got an amazing meal that usually yields leftovers even in my home. This really makes it a win/win!
Soups are just one of the many ways that I am able to feed my family on the cheap. Some of my other posts like 15 Frugal Tips For Feeding a Large Family, 15 More Frugal Tips For Feeding a Large Family, and 15 Essential Grocery Tips That Feed My Family of 8 For $250 a Month.
This is also a great recipe because it can be made in your crock pot, or on the stove if you prefer. There is a rather large list of ingredients, but it really is just a bunch of cans that you dump in. I love dump recipes!
Your family will love this chili cheese dog soup as much as mine does!
