walk in the wordWho can’t use more reminders about being bathed in God’s grace?  I know I can.  This is one of my favorite verses, and it reminds me that it is His grace that makes me strong when I feel weak.  It reminds me that we can use our struggles to glorify Him, even in the midst of great trial and tribulation.

I have only included the first half of this verse, not because the second half is not of importance, of course, but because my goal here is to choose verses that help us navigate throughout our day with little time required for memorization.  Quick and easy, yet also powerful verses are my goal.

Today’s verse is

2 Corinthians 12:9a

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, my power is made perfect in weakness.”

The verse does go on with Paul talking of how knowing this truth will allow him to more boldly speak of his weaknesses.  He talks of how he will be even more thankful to face struggles so that God’s power may fully rest on him.

I hope today’s verse reminds you that no matter what you are facing, God’s grace is more than enough to carry you through.  In this verse He tells us that we will face trials, but that His grace is more powerful than whatever we are facing.

Happy Thursday.  Tomorrow is the first day of spring!  This, too, makes me smile today.  I will just ignore the fact that we may be getting some snow over the weekend…
