These cinnamon dessert sticks are a favorite in our house, and what better way to end an in-home pizza night than with a tasty pizza dessert?!

The thing I love most about making pizza at home is that it is such a frugal way to feed my family something they love. These pizza dessert sticks are even more frugal than a regular pizza with cheese. I figure that since I buy my flour in bulk, I am spending maybe $0.20 on this dessert altogether. Can it get any better?

Since you will already be working with pizza dough, all you need as some additional dough, sugar, cinnamon, and butter. Viola! You’ve got a crowd pleaser!

For this recipe you will need:

  • your favorite pizza dough
  • 2 Tablespoons softened butter
  • 3/4 – 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon milk

Roll out pizza dough into whatever shape you prefer, leaving the dough about 1/3 inch thick. Spread dough with softened butter. Then, combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Press mixture down into buttered dough, spreading evenly. Place in 425 degree oven and bake for around 12 minutes until crust is golden and sugar mixture is gooey and bubbly.

Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, combine powdered sugar and milk in a bowl. Whisk to combine.

After dough has cooled for 10 minutes, cut and either top with icing mixture or use for dipping!

Your next pizza night will be complete, and you will be the hero when you serve these amazing cinnamon dessert sticks!
