As someone who has been carrying around babies for the past 15 years, I am so thrilled with the way things have changed and improved over the years. When my first was born, I had like three simply backpack pouches to choose from when it came to baby wearing, and the one I ended up with didn’t even work.

In addition to the Bumbo seat, I think the options for baby wearing are the most welcome in my life. Whether I am needing to be hands free while I am out and about or needing to be hands free around the house while I get something done, being hands free opens up a whole new world!

Because I’ve also got a two year old and a four year old in addition to a two month old, those two older ones need to be in the stroller when we are walking for any length of time as a family, which leaves be needing to wear the baby. I have no idea what I would do otherwise because the four year old cannot keep up with us or walk for any greater distance.

I think what I have loved about my Ergo the best is that the child’s weight is evenly distributed throughout the entire carrier, which means that it isn’t painful to wear in the least. In the past, it seems that carriers have dug into my shoulders, even with my Baby Bjorn.
