I wanted to give you a heads up on my next series. I’m gathering some questions and struggles from newer moms with a young child or children. Life is far different than it was 14 years ago when I was a young mom, so the struggles that the young moms of today face could be a bit different than the struggles I faced or the questions I had.
Interestingly, I am finding that the same questions and struggles are common threads woven throughout the hearts of most moms at varying places in their parenting journey. Most of them are the same questions and struggles that I had. I guess it goes to show that the inadequacies we feel and the issues we face are deeply rooted in all out hearts…our hearts that beat to love and raise our children well.
In addition to gathering struggles from young moms, I am gathering advice from more seasoned moms in a “what do you wish you knew as a young mom?” format. These are moms who I deeply respect and who are raising amazing children at different points along this journey of motherhood. Some have teens, some have kids in college and beyond. One mom has a child getting married this summer – yikes! Of course I have plenty to say on the topic as well, but there is so much wisdom to be gained from each other, and that includes moms who I admire and seek wisdom from at times.
