easter traditionHow does your family celebrate Easter?  Do you have traditions that you follow every year?

One tradition that we keep every year is doing our Resurrection Eggs together during family devotions in the evening.

What do we love about them?

There is something for every age.  There are 12 eggs that have a “piece” of the Easter story inside in chronological order.  There is a short devotional to read about each item along with the Bible verses that put that item in Biblical context.

Each egg only takes about 15 minutes to do, so even the youngest kids can manage to pay attention, especially because they can hold the item in their hand.IMG_3185

I have found nothing better than having these visuals when it comes to younger kids understanding and remembering each part of the story.

These are a great way to spend family time.  Easy to understand, yet they also provide a springboard for deeper and more meaningful conversations with some of the older kids.

These eggs make family devotion time so exciting for the younger kids.  Sometimes they get rather bored if we are focusing on something that is more geared toward the older kids that evening.

You can find the Resurrection Eggs here, Resurrection Eggs  a pretty small investment on something that we have been using for more than 10 years now.
